NMFE & 9MFP Book Fair Dates and Hours

Nine Mile Families,
We wanted to remind all families that Nine Mile Falls Elementary, Lake Spokane Elementary, and Lakeside Middle School will be released early tomorrow, Wednesday October 23rd to begin parent-teacher conferences. Elementary students and middle school students will not have school on Thursday and Friday this week in order to provide additional parent-teacher conference time during the day.
However, Lakeside High School will have a normal school schedule this week, including late start on Thursday. Buses for our high school students will run as normal for the remainder of the week.
If you have any questions regarding this week’s schedule, please contact your child’s school.
Thank you!
Jeff Baerwald

Just a quick reminder....

Our new secretary is excited to begin training next week. Please see the short introduction she wanted to share with our community,
"My name is Aleesha Judd, and I have two kids in the district—one at Lakeside High School and one at Lake Spokane Elementary. I grew up in this community and attended Lakeside High School, where I played volleyball and basketball. While I’m leaving North Wild Coffee, I’ll always have ties to it, as Morgan, the owner, is one of my best friends. Our family loves spending time outdoors; in the summer, you can find us camping, boating, playing sports together, hiking, and enjoying campfires. I’m thrilled to be a part of this school community. I truly appreciate how tight-knit everyone is here, and I love being a part of it!"

Picture re-takes are Wednesday, October 30th in the morning.
If you are interested in a retake or missed the original date, please email me, kgraham@9mile.org so I can make a list of students for the teachers. You can order the pictures online at www.leosphotography.com ; school code FAL225657. There are a limited number of paper envelopes available at school as well.

Congratulations to Mrs. Stockert and Mrs. Mendoza for receiving a classroom supply grant from STCU!

Parents and community members,
Just a friendly reminder that our monthly parent engagement meeting will be held tonight at 6pm in the Lakeside High School library. Topics that will be discussed tonight are balanced calendar, attendance policies, and parent volunteerism. We hope to see you there!

Please join us in welcoming our new secretary, Aleesha Judd and celebrating the service of Kathy Graham who is retiring October 31st.

We had fun when Radical Rick joined us for his Extreme Science assembly!
