Vendor Blender

Nine Mile Falls Elementary's Vendor Blender has become a holiday shopping tradition for our community. Each fall the Nine Mile Falls PTG sponsors a craft fair featuring local crafters and artisans.  On
Saturday, November 11,  43 vendors offered a variety of handcrafted treasures, including homemade soaps, honey, jewelry, and crafts to the Nine Mile community. Throughout the day, there was a steady flow of shoppers who delighted in reconnecting with old friends as they went booth to booth! With each purchase a customer was entered into an hourly giveaway.  Winners were announced by students, who also helped with admissions and set up.

"This is a true community event. It's amazing how much the community comes together, locals supporting locals." shared Irene Downey, chairperson for the last few years. "Many people allowed me to place the signs on their private property, and serveral businesses gave doantion for our hourly drawning even thorugh they weren't vending!"  Several patrons shared the same sentiments about the Vendor Blender;  they liked the small community feel, supporting their neighbors who were vendors, and supporting the school.   With such a wide variety of wares, there was truly "something for everyone!"

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to make the Vendor Blender a success
and to its chair, Irene Downey for all her hard work!
