Therapy OT/PT

Occupational & Physical Therapy


Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) services are available for students who have qualified for special education services when their motor skills interfere with their educational program.

OT addresses:

Fine motor skills, typically involving muscles of the hand, arm, and trunk, necessary for participation in their educational program. For example, use of pencil, writing, cutting, and manipulation of small objects.

PT Addresses:
Gross motor skills, typically involving muscles of the foot, leg, and trunk, necessary for participation in their educational program. For example, mobility within the classroom and school, appropriate seating, and progression of gross motor skills used in PE class.
