• SAT/ACT Information

Attention seniors: Are You Considering College?
Most four year colleges require incoming freshmen to submit either the ACT or SAT exam score for consideration for admission. This IS a requirement at all four year colleges in the State of Washington. Many will accept either score, however, check with each college for its admission guidelines. These tests can be taken more than once, if a student is not satisfied with his/her test score. A test fee will be charged each time a test is taken.

Some college and scholarship applications are due as early as October of the student's senior year. A student can apply to a college and send his/her test score at a later date. Test scores can be sent directly to more than one college. It is better to select 4 colleges when you register online or during testing (located on the back of the test). You have 9 days after the test to contact collegeboard and select 4 colleges to send the results to. If you are interested in attending college, please see Mrs. Mitzlaff or Mrs. Perdue in the Counseling Office, or Mrs. Dallabetta in the College and Career Center, as soon as possible.

You can register for both tests online.

     Community Colleges:

Two-year community colleges do not require the SAT or ACT test as acceptance; however, scores can be used for Math and English placement options.  Please check with a counselor or the community college website for more information.
