• A Night at the Oscars

Lakeside High School's student body enjoyed a spirit filled Homecoming Week, October 9 - 13.  The week's theme was A Night at the Oscars, and activities included Hall Decorating, Spirit Assemblies, Dress-up Days, Wednesday Night Studball and Battleball,  "High School Musical" Lip Sync, and of course, the Friday football game followed by the Dance with its Court on Saturday Night.
This year's  Food Drive,  benefiting the Tum Tum Food Bank, brought in 1,700 pounds of food.  The juniors  won the spirit points for this activity hands down...they  collected and donated over 1,000 pulnds at the week's end.  This Junior class also took the honor of the 2017 Homecoming Week Spirit Champions with 3750 Spirit Points.
Once again a Community Tailgate prior to the game was hosted by the LHS Booster Club. Families enjoyed food, face painting, a jumping house, and socializing. Cotton candy was a favorite!  Families and alumni headed into the game where the Eagles faced Newport.  Halftime activites included the Eagle Marching Band, the cheerleaders, class floats, and the Homcoming Court.
