Lake Spokane Elementary School’s PTN sponsored its Fifth Annual Fall Festival and Chili Cook-off on Friday, October 26. Once again repeat winner Mr.Steve Karl won the chili cook-off. Back by popular demand was a pie eating contest. Five LSE staff raced to see who could eat one mini pie with whip cream the fastest. With hands behind their backs, they plunged face first into pie. After a two year run, Kathy More was defeated in a close race between Vice Principal Tim Smith and fifth grade teacher Miss Cassie Garvin. Miss Garvin reigned triumphant! For the Festival portion of the event, the gym was packed with 15 different booths and games, and Pick Me was a huge hit as kids reached up into a giant nose; on the first try, each child got some green slime; on the second try, candy! Other games included Horse Shoe Toss, Wheel of Candy, Defeat the Dragon, Fishing, and Fish Cup. The Football Toss was one Kindergartners favorite "cause I won!" Over 175 delcious items were won at the ever popular Cake Walk. What a great way to spend a Friday night!
Thanks to all of the awesome volunteers who helped with this night of family fun!
