The Student Support Services Staff is a group of dedicated professionals providing information and assistance to students and their family
 to help students be successful in school.  A sampling of the services provided include:

  •  Academic Counseling:  identify and track students with academic difficulties, develop Credit Summaries and Academic Improvement Plans , monitor progress, create academic contracts to avoid retention, being a resource for parents in addressing difficulties in class work/homework completion. 

  • Personal Counseling:  Provide  Crisis resolution, individual counseling, substance use assessment and referral, coordinate referrals to outside counseling services, and provide individual social skills training.  

  • Mediation:  Offer conflict resolution opportunities to students to resolve interpersonal difficulties that affect classroom performance.

  • Teaching in-class health-related topics: teach  Bully/Harassment Prevention and  Lifeskills Training curriculum.

  • Coordinate Truancy Petitions:   Absenteeism monitoring, Becca Bill filing, follow-up.

  • Bullying/Harassment Education:  Teach Bullying/ Harassment Prevention curriculum at all grade levels. 
     Counsel individual situations.

  • Teach:  Career Exploration Program to 8th graders.

  •  Assist: with middle school Open House and New student orientation activities.

  • Coordinate: 5th-6th  grade and 8th-9th grade transition activities.

  •  Teach: "Love and Logic" ,Student Study Skills, and other Student/ Parent Education Workshops as needed.

  • Coordinate:  Student and Family Assistance Programs including HAAS Fund, Christmas Fund,
    and WEA Children's Fund distributions.

  • Coordinate: Washington Drug Free Youth Program (WDFY)
