NINE MILE FALLS PTG

Parents and teachers working together to improve our children's learning environment.
Be a star player in your child's education!

What is PTG?  A Parent/Teacher Group
It is the
teachers, parents, and staff working together to improve the education of our children.  The Nine Mile Falls PTG works hard to contribute valuable learning tools for our teachers by providing thesauruses, maps, globes, Read Naturally (a reading program to help build reading skills), KidPix computer software, library books, classroom supplies, field trips, and many other items that make teaching a little easier.

PTG also provides recess equipment such as soccer goals and balls, cones and tetherballs.

PTG is always looking for new members and new ideas.  We hope every parent will attend a meeting and feel the rewards of making a difference in your child’s education.

In addition to supplying educational items and updating the playground, the PTG also sponsors family events that help bring the community together in a fun and entertaining atmosphere.

How does PTG work?
The PTG sponsors fund raising events that involve the community.  We strive to keep education a priority in our school.  By being a volunteer you can support the education of all the students at Nine Mile Falls Elementary School.

PTG also recruits volunteers to help with our events, a book fair to benefit our library, teacher appreciation day, WASL testing snacks, and many other events throughout the year.

Some of the fun ways we have worked to raise money in the past are:
~ Carnival
~ Fund Run
~ Cookie Doug
h

Some of the fun family events we sponsor:
~ Skate Night
~ Harvest Festival
~ Bingo Night
~ North Pole Diner/Santa's Workshop
~ Candy Grams

Why be involved?
~ It's your responsibility as a parent
~ Have a voice.  Be a part of the solution.
~ Share new ideas.
~ Support your school.
~ Become involved in your community
~ Shape the future for our children.

What happens if you don't give a voice to be heard…..?  NOTHING!!
