Full-Day Kindergarten

We are pleased to announce that  beginning this Fall, we will be offering full-day kindergarten at both Lake Spokane Elementary and Nine Mile Falls Elementary.  During the most recent legislative session, Lake Spokane Elementary received the necessary funding to provide this service to its families.  Nine Mile Falls Elementary did not qualify for these funds; however, the School Board opted to utilize local monies to provide equitable opportunities for all incoming kindergartners across the district.
If you have not yet registered your child for kindergarten, please stop by the District Office at 10110 W. Charles Road to pick up a registration packet as soon as possible as we are currently placing students in classrooms.  If your child is already registered and you would like him/her to participate in our full-day program, there is nothing more that you will need to do as he/she will be automatically enrolled.  Our school will reopen on August 19th and office staff will be there to assist you and/or answer questions.

The Nine Mile Falls School District complies with all federal and state rules and regulations and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, honorably-discharged veteran or military status, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, marital status, the presence of any sensory, mental or physical disability, or the use of a trained dog guide or service animal by a person with a disability. The district will provide equal access to school facilities to the Boy Scouts of America and all other designated youth groups listed in Title 36 of the United States Code as a patriotic society. The district is in compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendment of 1974.  Title IX requires school districts to provide opportunities for all students and personnel in all areas, regardless of gender.  Any inquiries regarding compliance and/or grievance procedures may be directed to the school district’s Civil Rights Compliance Coordinator, Brian Talbott, Title IX/RCW 28A.640 Officer, Brian Talbott, and/or Section 504/ADA Coordinator, Marc Bell, 10110 W. Charles Rd., Nine Mile Falls, WA 99026, (509)340-4300.
