Dear Parent/Guardian, Summer School begins on June 30th and will end on July 31st. It will be located at Lakeside Middle school and will run Monday through Thursday from 8:30-12:00. Students in grades Kindergarten through 11th grade are encouraged to enroll. The cost is $50.00 per child if registered before June 23rd and $75.00 per child after that date. Look for registration packets to be delivered to schools on Monday, May 19th. Checks need to be made out to Nine Mile Falls School District and sent to the NMF District Office, 10110 West Charles Road along with the application. Students and staff will engage in many outdoor learning experiences with an environmental focus. While in the classroom, each grade level will focus on increasing their abilities in reading, writing and math. Students may also participate in the Suncrest Library Summer Reading Program. They will also learn about poetry. In math, our focus will be WASL related; increasing our skills and abilities in applying and solving real world problems. Our summer school staff will work closely with our district math and literacy coach to identify and support individual learning needs. Along with our educational focus we will build problem solving and team skills. This will be fun and engaging learning time where students will work together to solve problems. WASL retesting will be administered on Monday, August 11th through
Friday, August 15th. Credit retrieval will not be administered
during summer school; however, credit retrieval will be administered
