Dear
Community,
What a busy September! It has been wonderful to see so many of you at the Open
Houses held in each of our buildings. Please remember to take every opportunity
to participate in your student’s education. If you have any questions
about how you might do that, feel free to call the principal at your student’s
building.
We
are quickly approaching the November election where three
School Board positions are on the ballot. Be looking
for opportunities to gather more information on candidates
and be sure to vote so your voice can be heard. Community
organizations are working together to provide a forum
for candidates to meet with community members. Your participation
will help educate you on each of the candidates prior
to the November vote.
Many
of you have asked questions regarding the Superintendent
Search that is currently underway. Last spring, the Nine
Mile Falls School Board appointed me as the Interim Superintendent
for the 2007-2008 school year. At the same time, they
made the decision to gather community input through a
search process in hiring a permanent Superintendent.
That process has begun and will continue for the next
few months. There will be opportunities for community
input a couple of different times throughout the process.
Again, I would encourage you to participate and have
your voice heard in the direction of this incredible
school district.
If
you have any questions, please feel free to call me,
340-4300, or email me, blewis@9mile.org anytime.
Always
for kids,
Bridget
