Schedule Change Deadline:
The deadline for all 2nd semester
schedule changes is January 18th, 2008.
Prior to this deadline, each student will have met with a counselor to go over
his or her schedule. This meeting is designed to promote student reflection
upon how their course choices will impact the kinds of opportunities available
to them after graduation. Students may request schedule changes during this
meeting. They may also apply for a change by filling out the request form available
in the Counseling Office.
Please remind your teen that all schedule change requests must be received
in the Counseling Office by the close of the school day on Friday, January
18th, 2008.

January:
18th ~ Deadline for 2nd Semester schedule changes
23rd -24th ~ Finals
24th 1st ~ Semester ends
28th 2nd ~ Semester begins
30th ~ Semester grades released
February:
19th ~ Class Rankings computed
26th ~ Midterm progress reports released
March:
10th - 14th ~ Registration for Running Start and Skills Center
17th-23rd ~ Pre-registration for LHS 2008/2009
25th ~ Quarter progress reports released
SAT/ACT and Testing
The next SAT test date is March 1, 2008. The registration deadline
for that test is January 29, 2008. The next ACT test date is
February 9, 2008. The registration deadline for that test is
January 24, 2008. Colleges accept either test. Many students
ask about the difference between the SAT and the ACT. The following
will help guide you and your son or daughter in making the
decision of which test to take.
