Veterans Day, 2007

Each November, the elementary students of the Nine Mile Falls School District honor Veterans in special musical programs. Led by choral music teachers Mrs. Colleen Weisser (Lake Spokane) and Mrs. Theresa Nelson (Nine Mile Falls) our students sing patriotic songs to pay tribute to our Service men and women. Interspersed throughout the program are patriotic readings of essays and poems. All Veterans and active duty personnel in attendance are given special recognition. This year’s programs were held on Thursday, November 8th, at Nine Mile Falls Elementary and Friday, November 9th, at Lake Spokane Elementary. Both ended with a very spirited rendition of God Bless the USA, a student favorite.
