Champs:
League, Districts, and Regionals

From 0 & 8 to the State Tournament, this was the path that the boys’ basketball team traveled this year. They opened with a difficult non-league schedule that toughened them to reverse this to 14 and 2 winning streak. “We knew this group of gentlemen could do something special; we just needed to build the chemistry,” stated Head Coach David Pratt. Only three returning players were on the squad.

In league, the Eagles played solid, were League Co-Champs, then District and Regional Champs. This gave them the first seed to the State Tournament in Yakima, where Coach Pratt felt his team could compete for a title. It was not meant to be. Although the Eagles expected to win and battled in both of their games, they came up one basket short against a great press from Toledo. “I don’t want our boys to be defined by this; we were the best team on the east side of the state, with the highest number one seed,” commented Coach Pratt. “They should be proud of what they accomplished this year.”
