Bingo!

“I just need B-8,” exclaimed a second grader as Bridget Lewis, Interim Superintendent, announced a bingo number. Bingo Night, an evening of family fun, filled the Nine Mile Falls Elementary gym almost to its capacity. The Parent Teacher Group (PTG) sponsors this annual event, which was held on Friday, March 7th.

Families waited anxiously for the number that would win a prize. Grand prizes included a wake surfer from Precision Propeller and a $450 paint package from Clark’s Painting. Two I-Pod Shuffles, a birthday party at Pattison’s, and countless gift certificates were among the many other prizes. In fact there were so many prizes available, every student attending went home with something! A silent auction of five baskets was added to the festivities this year; enough funds from Bingo and the Auction were raised to fund the Read Naturally Program!

The PTG would like to thank all the volunteers who helped to make this year’s event another success. Karen Hudson and Kelli Cler ran the Food Booth for their sixth and final time as their students are “graduating” in June.
