Dear
Community,
|
The
Nine Mile Falls School District, in cooperation with
the community, is committed to serving each student.
We will educate, challenge, and equip each student to
realize his/her potential and to become a lifelong learner
who is a contributing member of society.
As
your School District, we are accountable to the community,
to the state and the federal governments, and most importantly,
to each student who walks our halls. I am proud to share
with you this Annual School and District Performance
Report. I hope you will find it helpful and informative.
Our
vision is “Excellence in providing for the success
for each child.”
Your
schools do a good job. One measure of the quality of
our work is represented by student performance on state
mandated assessments. In Nine Mile Falls, students are
assessed in grades three through eight, and grade ten
using the Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL).
The WASL is one of the most difficult tests of its kind
in the nation. Nine Mile students perform well on this
test. Students in Nine Mile have consistently performed
above the state and regional average. As well, performance
has improved over time!
Your
schools do a good job, AND we are getting better each
year. We will not be satisfied until each child is successful.
We continue to focus on the continuous improvement of
curriculum, instruction, and learning. We continue to
ask tough questions and seek answers that will drive
continuous growth.
Should you desire more detailed information about the performance of
our schools, our District, or other schools in the state, comprehensive
information can be found on line at:
